Some aphid control agents can cause damage to plants, no less than the insect itself.

That is why many flower growers refuse industrial preparations in favor of folk developments.

We will tell you how to protect rose bushes from this pest.

Immediately it is worth noting that the insect prefers young shoots and leaves and bypasses strong and healthy shoots.

To avoid the invasion of pests, it is necessary to feed roses in a timely manner, loosen the soil, weed out weeds.

If the moment is missed, prepare the solution.

Milk-iodine

Its preparation requires ½ cup of milk, 1 liter of water and ½ cube (syringe) of iodine. All components are mixed in water, the mixture is poured into a sprayer, mixed and the roses are processed.

By the way, the remedy not only fights aphids, but also protects against fungal diseases, and therefore it is recommended to protect tomatoes from phytophthora.

Household soap

The bar should be grated (about 1 tablespoon), dissolved in 1 liter of water, then moisten the buds in the solution and spray the flowers with this composition for several days in a row.

Garlic or onion

300 grams of garlic (or onion) is crushed and poured with 3 liters of water, after which it is infused for 6-8 hours.

The concentrate is diluted with 7 liters of water, 40 grams of grated household soap are added and sprayed with roses.

Onion husks

Another effective remedy is onion husk, infused for 24 hours in water. The infusion is filtered and used for processing in the finished form.
