Muscari prefer loose, well-drained soil.

How to grow

The best time to plant muscari is late August - early September.

You can choose almost any place for growing muscari, because they are considered very unpretentious plants.

During flowering they need a lot of moisture, but during the dormant period - on the contrary - a dry environment.

They can be grown in one place for several years.

However, you need to feed it with rotted humus (then the plants develop better).

How to grow muscari in a pot

If you want to grow muscari in a pot on a windowsill, dig up the bulbs at the end of July and store them in a ventilated area at a temperature of +20°C.

And at the end of September-October, plant the largest bulbs in a pot (several pieces are possible).

Then place it in the basement and do not water it.

How to water muscari

Water the plant every week in the spring and early summer, and then begin spacing out the watering as you approach fall.

This is to prevent over-watering the soil around the bulb, which can cause the bulbs to rot.
