A pot holder is something that often gets dirty in the kitchen when cooking. It is often impossible to wash stains with hand and machine washing. In the article we will talk about life hacks for cleaning potholders.

How to soak potholders for the kitchen

Sprinkle with salt to start. Then just shake off the salt and either apply dishwashing detergent to the stain and leave it for a day, or prepare a strong saline solution (a tablespoon per liter of water) and soak in it for a couple of hours.

How to remove stubborn stains

Old and stubborn stains can be removed with warm lemon juice. Juice diluted in half with vodka or denatured alcohol is also suitable. After treatment, wipe the place of contamination with a cloth soaked in ammonia.

Apply a stubborn stain remover to the problem area and leave for at least an hour. Then rub it well with a brush and rinse. This should help, as stubborn stains are usually concentrated.

Stubborn stains are best washed in hot water.

Potholders are recommended to be washed every 3 days and changed at least once every 3 months. Simple working potholders are machine washable; the temperature is the same as for towels.
