Breakfast is an important meal. In this article, we will talk about the benefits of an early breakfast, and what foods are best for the morning.

Benefits of an early breakfast

The exact time is almost as important as what exactly you eat. Nutritionists believe that you need to eat breakfast within two hours after waking up: this allows you to improve digestion and stabilize blood sugar levels. So a two-hour window is valid for everyone, regardless of the time of the rise.

You can have breakfast both immediately after waking up, and after 1-2 hours after drinking water beforehand. Many high-quality studies show that systematically skipping breakfast or moving it to lunch is bad for our circadian rhythms and digestion. You can even gain weight and disrupt carbohydrate metabolism.

Early breakfast reduces the risk of developing diabetes by as much as 59%, according to a new study published in the International Journal of Epidemiology.

What is good for breakfast in the morning

Ideal morning protein meals are yogurt, cottage cheese, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, cheese, some bacon, fish, or chicken. You can also diversify breakfast with mushrooms and vegetables rich in vegetable protein (spinach, broccoli). Sources of the "correct" complex carbohydrates are vegetables, greens and cereals.
