How to cook sauce for cutlets

However, those who grew up in the USSR still remember the unique taste of all kinds of dishes that were prepared in school canteens.

If you didn’t catch that time, then try to experiment and cook the famous sauce, which was poured over cutlets in USSR.

What you need to take to prepare a delicious sauce for meat dishes:

  • 1 pc. onion and carrot;
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste;
  • Liter of meat broth;
  • 1 tablespoon sour cream;
  • Spices - to taste;
  • 50 grams flour;
  • Vegetable oil for browning.

How to cook sauce for cutlets

Add broth to tomato paste, mix to the consistency of thick sour cream. In a frying pan, pass the flour until brown.

Grate the carrots, and finely chop the onion - we sauté the vegetables using vegetable oil for 5 minutes.

Add pasta to them and bring to a boil. During this time, mix the fried flour with sour cream and dilute it with warm broth so that there are no lumps.

Add the resulting flour mixture to the fry and let it boil. If you have leftover broth, then add it to the sauce to the desired density.

Cook this sauce for about 20 minutes. At the end, do not forget to add seasonings and spices.
