In order for roses purchased in the store to stand in a vase longer, you need to know a few tricks.

At a minimum, you should not immediately throw away the packaging and leave it for half an hour so that the flowers acclimatize in the new conditions, and then place the stems in cool water.

However, these are general recommendations, but here are specific ways that will prolong the life of flowers.

The rose itself is rather capricious, and given that after pruning it loses nutrients, without cool water it begins to fade quickly.

Tip 1

Roses should be placed where there are no drafts, heaters and direct sunlight.

Tip 2

With a sharp knife or secateurs, you need to remove the side scions and withered leaves and put the roses in a container with clean, cool water.

Tip 3

From a spray bottle, 2 times a day, you need to spray roses, avoiding water getting inside the bud.

What to add to water

For this, potassium permanganate, aspirin, soda, sugar, citric acid and glycerin and other means are suitable.

If water with chlorine flows from the tap, then the water must first settle.

Sugar and vinegar. In 1 liter of water, dilute 1 teaspoon of sugar and add 1 tablespoon of 9% vinegar.

Alcohol. In a vase of water, add 50 ml of ammonia or medical alcohol.

Antipyretic. It is necessary to crush ½ tablets and pour into a pot, and then repeat in a day.

Lemon acid. Prevents the spread of pathogens along the stem of the plant.

Potassium permanganate. This tool must dissolve, otherwise you can burn the stems.
