How to cook the right millet porridge so that it turns out crumbly, tasty and not bitter

Such a simple dish has a positive effect on the condition of the skin, strengthens hair and nails.

But at the same time, not everyone can cook this product correctly. 

It happens that inexperienced cooks complain that the cereal turns out bitter and sticks together in lumps.

How to cook millet porridge

Cereals should be prepared beforehand. The millet needs to be sorted out.

In addition, it must be rinsed several times. At the same time, the last two times it should be done with hot water. 

Next, you need to remove the bitterness. To do this, the hostess recommends filling the cereal with water and bringing it to a boil. After that, the water must be drained. 

Then you can proceed to cooking. 

The grains should be filled with water in a ratio of 2 to 1. Do not add too much liquid, otherwise the porridge will be viscous and begin to stick together. 

After that, you can add a little salt and cook the millet over medium heat without a lid.

After 10 minutes after boiling, it is advisable to add butter or vegetable oil to the porridge.

The fire should be turned off, and the pan should be covered with a lid, and a towel on top.

In this state, it is advisable to leave everything up to half an hour. This manipulation will allow the cereal to absorb all the water, and the garnish itself will turn out fragrant and crumbly.
